Q: fever in first trimester

Hi,

This is my first pregnancy at 40 year of age, and due to my medical history it is probably my last chance to have a baby. I conceived 21 days ago, so it is right at neural tube development. I have been running a fever of 99.5 -- 100 for the past two days. I have taken Tylenol, but it is not doing that well at reducing my fever. The doctor told me to go to the emergency room if I reached 101.5. I think I may have reached that temperature last night while sleeping between 10:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m. How is this likely to harm my baby? This is such a scary time. I want so much for this to happen.

Thanks,

Shannon
