tampon use? I figure TSS would have more severe symptoms, but I want to make sure I'm okay here. I wore a tampon on last Friday and Saturday. Then on Sunday, I had the first signs of getting sick. The rest of the week I've had a pretty mild fever. No real symptoms besides the fever itself. Yesterday my temperature got back to normal, today it went up to a bit more than it's been all week. I don't think (and really hope) it's TSS, but is there a possibility the fever could have been caused by tampon use?

Using a tampon then getting a fever the next day with no other symptoms? To me they are completely non-related.

Never use a tampon before?

I do not think they are related. TTS has many more symptoms than a fever and is much more brutal. It usually comes with a very high fever, muscle aches, vomiting, rashes, dizziness, and many other things.

It is safe to assume you picked up a small bug if a fever is all that you have.
