Pretty sure everyone has seen that movie. One of my favorites Smile
Remember how sneaky Ferris was, pretending to be sick? I've done the same thing a million times, in different situations.

My whole teenage life I had to sneak around. Not because I wanted to, because I had to, to feel normal. My Mom and my Step dad, were very strict. They believed that we should be doing nothing but, a) Reading our Bibles & b) Going to church.

Ontop of them being strict - I was being Homeschooled for the last 4 years.
I had one friend. Who eventually stopped being there.
So my social life was at an all time high! lol

That wasn't the end of it either. There were a list of things we couldn't do.

A) Not allowed to watch tv unless it's on a Christian program - or Cartoons (even some cartoons weren't allowed)
B) Not allowed to go online unless your talking to other Christians or listening to online sermons.
C) Not allowed to talk on the phone/or go out with anyone who is Not Christian.
Lastly, D) Not allowed to Date until 18 - and IF they approved.

You could say my parents aren't very open minded people. I mean, living out in the country (middle of nowhere) made it hard enough!

I almost never complained though. I just asked if they could put me back in school - so I could at least make some friends and have regular highschool experiences, like Prom. But no. Bibles weren't allowed in School - so apparently I wasn't either.

Now, I on the other hand - have always been very opinionated & VERY open minded. I except people as they are, how God made them. I've gotten a pretty bad example on what Christianity is like.

It's not hiding away from the world and it's population - it's talking to people, getting to know them - letting them know who God is and why they should* know him too.

But I don't know how to talk to people about that - I only know I have alot more to learn and not everything I learn comes straight from the Bible.
It comes from our experiences, and not everthing in this world is terrible.
If your a Christian - rather than obsessing over certain Bible verses and keeping to yourself- I think it'd be a better idea to be talk to people who DONT know about God.
It's really sad when I hear someone say "God doesn't exist. I don't believe in anything." ...

If I called myself a Christian, I might be embarrased. The majority of 'us' are not doing what we should be, what He asked of us. A small favor. He didn't ask us to save the world. Just to witness to un-believers. Atleast - thats what I think.

So I spend most my time with non-Christians! They dont bite either lol
