Q: femoral hernia pre op

ive been diagnoised with femoral hernia from a scan was in hospital for 4 days then sent home dont go back for 2 weeks why havent they operated and why send me to see the surgeon for an appointment for 1x1 management

As long as you are not currently experiencing bowel entrapment (incarcerated hernia) or a bowel obstruction, then you do not need an emergency hernia operation. If, on the other hand, you were in the hospital for 4 days because of incarcerated hernia or bowel obstruction, then your hernia should be repaired as soon as possible.
