Hi, i am 31 yrs. I slipped on some ice in early dec. and fell flat on my stomach after this i had some brownish bleeding after a couple of day it went away. two wks later i thought i had started my period very heavy bleeding a lot of clots. I have continued bleededing for 2weeks now. I am worried i dont have healt insurance. I have not had bleeding like this scence the birth of my 2 children. I always have had normal periods nothing to be concerned with. Also i am a single mom, not sexxually active so this rules ot a possible miscarriage. Please help me very worried. Heavy periods or change in menstrual bleeding pattern could be indicative of hormonal issues, internal hurt and clot, or other problems like ovarian or uterine issues (ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, polyps etc). You will need to visit a gynecologist for a thorough examination and ultrasound scan, hormonal work-up, blood work-up to look for the exact cause for your changed bleeding pattern. The investigation results will also help to find if these are due to perimenopausal changes.
