my left ear feels like it has fluid in it and it is very , very painful. I have put a little alcohol in it and put a cold compress on it. it hurts so much , it is making me sick to my stomach.
does anyone know how to make it feel better so I can make it through the day. it is memorial day so there are no doctors open today.
thank you.

It sounds like you have an ear infection. You need to stop putting a cold compress to it. Cold only makes it worse. Until you get to the doctor you can try this: rinse out your ear with a 50/50 solution of vinegar and lukewarm water. Leave the mixture in the ear for about one minute, then place a towel against your ear and drain.
