Hello, I am 5 weeks pregnant. I am experiencing weakness in my legs. Every time I get up for minutes at a time I feel like I am going to collapse. Is this normal? Is this due to hormones or something else? I have been feeling weak and shaky for about a couple of weeks now.

Early Pregnancy Signs and Symptoms Answer A26353
Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Dizziness and postural hypotension can occur during early pregnancy. If the symptoms are worse, report them to your treating doctor/gynecologist. Get blood work-up done. Be regular with pre-natal vitamins and iron supplements (especially if anemic). Be slow in changing positions and take extra care. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet. Be in regular follow-up and monitoring of your treating doctor/gynecologist.
Take care.
