I have been having this feeling thats a bit hard to explain, i feel very disorientated almost liked a drugged feeling, my reactions seem slow everything feels hazy and im finding it hard to concentrate, even to the point i can be in the middle of something and just stop because i forget what im doing. I cant seem to follow conversations as i have forgot what they have already said , I am aware of what im doing but its almost as if its not me ? im having trouble sleeping. When this feeling comes it can last anything from a few hours to a couple of days . I dont take drugs and the only medication that i am on is cerazette and citalopram which i have been on for a long time.

Thank you for your question on ehealthforum.com

You are on citalopram which is usually prescribed for depression. Your symptoms are suggestive of depression, but it is also necessary to exclude any neurological problems like epilepsy e.g. petit mal.

Sleep disturbances can happen in neurological disorders in addition to depression. Your condition requires a thorough examination by both neurologist and a physician. Without having the advantage of direct consultation and physical examination, it is hard to put a finger on definite diagnosis of your problem; however depression and epilepsy need to be ruled out. Hope this information is useful. Thank you.
