Q: Feel pregnant.Too early to test?

My period is due on the 16th of June. My husband and I had unprotected sex on the 25th of May. We have two children together already. I "feel pregnant"...I feel like I felt with both of my children. I took a digital pregnancy test today and it said "not pregnant". The test strip inside the test had a very faint positive line though. I'm not really sure if that means much? I just want to know, was it too early to test? If I became pregnant on the 25th of May? For those of you that read my last post about this situation...I'm still having the heavy discharge and slight nasuea. I just want to know...I'm so impatient! I bought a 2 pack of tests... when should I take the other test? Thanks guys....you're always a BIG help!

You're testing too early. Wait until your period is due before you take the second test.

The test was not designed to be taken apart and inspected. The line you saw could be anything, really. It could have been an evaporation line or a control line. If you had enough hCG in your system to cause a line, the test would have been positive.

I know how impatient you feel, but it's too early.

Thank you;o) I know, waiting really does suck! It's like you can't think of anything else all day long! Ahh! Thanks for the info on the test also...it was helpful...I googled it and got about the same thing you gave me:o) Thanks again...I'll keep you all updated!

I don't think it's too early for you to 'know' you're pregnant but yes, it is too early for a test to show you a positive. I have been sure that I've been pregnant three times now. The first time resulted in my son who is three years old. The other two times I got a positive result but sadly miscarried days later. Each time, I have felt pregnant within days of unprotected sex. I'm very sensitive to my body (too bloody sensitive I think!) so perhaps you are too.

Anyway, good luck!

Hi:o) I'v thought I was possibly pregnant a few times...but have only known these three times. It's amazing how you can just feel it. You are right, I am very sensitive to my body and the signs it gives...maybe a little too sensitive lol! I fear that...I fear knowing that i'm pregnant too early and miscarring when I wasn't really even "suppose" to know i was pregnant yet. I'v read some about that...pregnancy test giving such early results that had the women waitesd until her period to take it she may have miscarried early and asumed it was her period. I'm so sorry for both of your loses...are you currently ttc? My little boy will also be 3 years old in July:o) Well, hope to hear from you soon! Thanks for the feedback and for understanding!

I'm not ttc but we're not preventing either if that makes sense lol! We're basically just letting Nature do her thang and if I get pregnant then brilliant but we're not putting pressure on ourselves by saying we're ttc.

I know what you mean about wishing you didn't know so early. I was gutted when I lost the pregnancies but they were so early on they were just like very heavy periods really and if I wasn't so sensitive to my hormones (and the tests weren't so good too) then I'd probably never have known for sure.

I say wait until your period is late and then test. IF you are pregnant you should have a BFP for sure by then. I took two negative tests before I was positive and according to my cycle I was late 2 months in a row, im now 6 1/2 months preggos....so who the heck knows right??? LOL
