Hi my name is Mindy I am 24 5 foot 2inches and 200lbs i have high blood pressure and am currently on Metoprolol 50mg I’ve gone to a cardiologist for about 6 months now he has check my kidneys he thought there was a blockage that was causing my sudden high blood pressure but he tested me and there was no blockage so he is just treating me for the high blood pressure i kind of feel like he has just given up. lately I’ve been having uncomfortable pains/feelings in my chest I’ve gone to the ER my blood pressure was high but nothing else was wrong. I’m having such a hard time sleeping at night it's seems as soon as i fall asleep my chest wakes me up or my rapid heart beat will wake me up and now today I’m having pains under my left breast and my ribs are really tender to the touch could all this just be from my high blood pressure?

Forget medications. Try the natural way to lower BP.
I get that same under the left breast pain that you have. My cardio told me it was damage from high BP. I've tried all the medications. Some didn't work, others gave me allergic reactions & the last one (calcium channel blocker) got my BP down to normal but constipated me so much, I went thru misery. I'm done with these medications. I've done research & some can cause death or don't help the real reason pressure is high. After much research, I'm going the natural route: magnesium orotate, African Mango & an herb called Mukta Vati. Look these up. Unfortunately, it's all hit or miss since we are all different. Get a different cardio, tho doctors rely on Meds. It's what they know. You've got to be proactive & help yourself. There's no other way. Oh, and deep breathing 3x a day helps, too.

Experienced User
Apple Cider Vinegar, it has help me at age of 50. There are some really good natural approaches, but Doctors don't like to talk about them because of the guide lines they must follow.

Hi Mindy, i have read your problem, i have some suggestions.
1-Metoprolol is a good choice for your BP which may be essential hypertension
2- you are too young to look for hypertension complications
3- i suggest you should do a 24 hr BP Holter (discuss about it with your doctor)

wish you good luck!
