Hi and Welcome to eHealth!
Ou sound very depressed to em. THere has to be somethign that has triggered these feelings. Could it be you don't want to face reality, that now that your finace is in another place, you aren't really in love with him? Do you have a job or are in school? My suggestion would be to seek professional help. Sometimes we can't do this on our on!

feeling blue
First of all.....please do NOT ever feel alone in this depression. It is very real and there is excellent medications to treat all your symptoms. I too suffer from depression/anxiety. The onset for me was when I was 21, it was scary and I felt so different and isolated. I felt I just did not belong anywhere and had very little motivation and nothing made me happy etc. I am now 48 years old and occasionally I still get bouts but when I do I try to reflect on what might have triggered this and it, thank goodness, never last too long. My best advice is to talk to your doctor about this and be very open and honest about everything you are feeling and never ever be ashamed.

normal to feel this way
You said that you got engaged and are now far from your fiance, questioning your feelings about him. It's perfectly normal to feel the way you do.

If I was in your situation I would also feel lost and agitated.

Did you know him before you got engaged? Are you close emotionally? Are you doing this because of obligation to your family?

Sorry to ask such questions, but it doesn't sound like there's anything wrong with you medically. In the US we are quick to prescribe pills for everything, and this is plain wrong.

Sometimes just to feel our feelings seems like an incredible task, but it is not impossible.

I'm sure that in time you will find your way.

Best wishes,
Daniel

It will get a bit more mint
At last you've had someone. You are clearly very sad at this moment but you have bright sides as we all do. focus on them. Not helpful? Maybe it won't seem so but if you think 100% logically it makes sense. I am severely depressed and that attitude has kept me going.

i ve been battling depression for over 18 years. i know how you feel! if you cant sleep you should try herbal tea, herbal pills that will help you sleep. you can also try sleeping pills.
if your depressed it's best if you got your sleep rather than staying up all night feeling bad.
it could be a hormonal thing. when your depressed your thoughts are always negative.
do you have someone thats close to you that you can talk to? i write in a journal and it makes me feel better. are you able to see a therapist? i used to be on prozac and it didnt do anything to raise my serotonin levels, i would rather take herbs like SamE or st.johns worth. The doctor on this website also suggest you clean your colon.
you probably feel numb towards your finance b/c of your mood. once you get out of this funk you'll feel better.
dont isolate yourself or stay in the house all the time.
