Hi! I have had this problematic recurring issue. I seem to have "leaky stool" where after using the bathroom, no matter how much I wipe, anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour later I will have more stool leak out. At times, it will happen more than once over this 1 hour period. This is quite embarrassing as it requires me to constantly go into the bathroom to clean up. If I am sitting when this happens, it produces skid marks in my underwear which is another embarrassing effect. This "leaky stool" problem happens about 80% of the time I have a bowl movement. Another thing is that my stool is typically not hard but of a softer (But not liquid) consistency and frequently a light brown color.

I went to see a doctor when the problem first began. He checked me with his finger and told me the sphincter muscles were fine. His diagnosis was that I either didn't know how to wipe (Which insults me, because prior to this I had no issues for the first 23 years of my life), or that stress was causing it.

Does anyone have any suggestions how to alleviate this issue? It happens regardless of how healthy my diet is. I am also relatively active, so this shouldn't be an issue. I have also tried Kegel exercises. Unfortunately, I have no medical insurance at this time so I cannot go to another doctor. Is there something I could take to see if it helps, or maybe a specific thing I could ADD to my diet? Thank you!
