I had my first doctor appointment on the 13th and the nurse said i was about 71/2 weeks along according to the date of my last missed period. All they did is take a urnine sample (which determined I have a bladder infection) and take some blood. They didn't check the heartbeat or anything. Is that normal? All my friends with babies said they checked for the hearbeat at the first appointment. I have a sonogram and first pelvic exam on the 28th. I'm just really scared. I wanted them to check for a heartbeat and make sure everything is ok.

I just have this fear that I'm going to have a miscarriage. I was having really bad morning sickness and bloating but everything has gone away. I still get a little queasy in the morning but nothing like I was. I haven't had any cramps or spotting, but I can't help but think the worst. Crying or Very sad

Did this happen to anyone else, and was your baby healthy and ok??

Is this your first pregnancy? Have you had a miscarriage before? I think you're just nervous. Aside from the bladder infection, which is not a big deal, it sounds like you have a perfectly normal pregnancy. If you're really antsy you could ask them to move up your appointment, if possible, but ten days is not long to wait.
Congratulations on your pregnancy.

No, i've never had a miscarriage before and this is my first pregnancy. I was just reading about how some women lose all their pregnancy symptoms when they miscarry.

I'm sure i'm just being paranoid at the moment, but its really all I can think about.
