Rolling Eyes Iam a 59 yr wht male R.N. that for the last few weeks has suffered from extreme maliace, joint and muscle aches, no appetite and totally exhausted. I stay in good shape, iam 5'11" and weight 245 lbs from 260 lbs two weeks ago. My condition started approx. two weeks ago, I woke up feeling a little run down and sore like I worked out to hard the night before at the gym, it got progressively worse until about 4 days I had to have my wife help me to the bath room. Its like I have a serious flu infection without the respiratory involvement. I have rested as much as possible and taken 6-8 k mg of ester vitamin c each day. I can't make myself eat much as I feel a little nauseated most of the times. Yesterday I ran a battery of test and my metabolic panel was totally normal except my chlorine was
96 (97-108) my blood showed HDL 35 RBC 5.62 HG 17.6 hct 51.7 monocytes 15 the rest was normal and these abdnormals were only one or two points off. The rest of test will be available tomarrow. I work on a heart team two days a week and at my medical center three days a week. I am totally stumpted at what my pathology is. I ingest two much splenda as I drink 4 to 5 glasses of crystal light daily and i know that the chlorine in splenda can be dangerous. I don't use drugs and only drink a glass of wht wine at dinner. I take diovan and hct 160/25 for HTN, I take flomax .4mg for urination problems even though I am told my prostate is normal, I take Zertec for allergies, I take lexapro 20mg and 100 mg of wellbutrin for depression and I take 400mg IM testosterone for replacement therapy and I take muti-vitmins, co-enzyme q-10, zinc 100mg, and I take oxycodone for pain controll for sports injuries, nothing new. So doc or Doc's please help me out so i can get back to doing what i love most, taking care of my patients. thanks wayne.
