My sister-in-law has tested positive for Hep. C. She is yellowing in her skin, under her nails and of course the whites of her eyes. She is in the hospital and her physician has run one test for hepatitis C and it has come back positive. He is currently running another test and he continually is telling her that she will most likely be home by the time this (the second test) test result comes back. What is the likelihood that either or just the first test can or will come back a false positive? Also, she is a severe diabetic and her A1C is 11!!!! Does this tell you anything? Can you suggest any questions that she needs to ask the doctor? Thanks again!!
