Hello

I've read several articles on BP in an attempt to interpret the readings, and there does seem some divided opinion or a grey area, on whether certain readings should be considered acceptable. Please could you clear this up for me...

For example I am age 45 and have BP of 115/73, which I uderstand is good. However my Mums BP who is age 77 ranges from 129/63 to 121/60.

I understand that when we are over age 55 the diastolic pressure naturally begins to drop and therefore a reading of 60 might be expected. Also the systolic pressure of 121 initially sounds good too.

However when you put the two readings together, 121/60, is there too much of a difference between the two? Is the heart/circulation going through too much of a pressure change during the cycle?

Thank in Advance
