Has anyone else out there dealth with chronic syncope or fainting spells?
I have had about 10 attacks randomly over the last 4 years and each time my paranoia and fear of another attack has gotten worse and worse. I guess the fact that they dont know why it happens and there is no way for me to prevent it just makes it very hard for me not to be consumed by the thoughts of it happening all of the time. My doctors don't think that it is because of the anxiety that I faint. I do have anxiety attacks separatley from the fainting spells, but I just wish I could find somebody else out there that has this problem that might have gotten a handle on why it happens to them or how to avoid it. I know that worrying about it happening and constanlty being anxious about it doesn't help, but it is really hard for me not to think about.

Extremely eHealthy
Did'nt your doctor even give you a thought of what this could be? Could be neurological, ears, eyes.....you name it. Do you feel really dizzy before fainting? Or does it just happen with no onset.

it usually gives me about 5 to 10 seconds before it happens where i get dizzy and tignly and hot and then I am out for about 1 to 3 minutes. I have had many tests run, but the drs so far just say that it is a reaction by my vesal-vegal nerve that is aggrevated when I am cramping of having a bowel movement. But it doesnt seem to be the most comforting answer since it is extremley inconsistent and i have many times where i have cramps and diahrea without passing out so I really don't know if I buy into that excuse. They did a tilt table test on me thinking that it would cause the same reaction and I would faint on the table, but I didn't. So I am still concerned.

Fainting....why me?
I sometimes I too randomly faint, during school. I have had many tests done, anemia, mono, diabetis. All have come out negative. No doctor can tell me why this happens. I don't take any medicanes or anything that might make this happen. Luckly I've always had someone in the room to help me so far since this has started.
