I just want to warn anyone having a surgical abortion to do a pregnancy test two to three weeks after. My daughter was not warned of failure and she had depo jab for contraception straight after (known to cause irregular periods and weight gain). We thought she got pregnant again but found out it was same pregnancy and she was 26-27 wks pregnant. I now have to bring my grandaughter up as fears realised that my daughter was not able to cope with a baby. I had already brought up nine and have no womb etc so cant have anymore and now have to start again with a three year old and bringing her up with my four youngest girls. These people running clinic do not realise that it not only effects the girls having these babies but thier families too. Luckily she is perfect little girl happy and smart and we would not change her for the world. So if you are considering an abortion just be warned clinics are not warning to do pregnancy test two to three weeks after procedure. I have also found out this clinic still are not warning girls of failure and to do pregnancy test.

A pregnancy test could still be positive 2-3 weeks later even if the abortion was successful due to a woman's hormones involved.

At most clinics, you come back after 2 weeks to get a check up to make sure everything is going well. It is at that second appointment that you get birth control and your uterus is checked to make sure you are no longer pregnant. The follow up appointment is crucial to your own health.
