There are certain substances that are used when there is a pathological form of pregnancy (tubal pregnancy) that is going to end with an abortion for sure, which might be complicated and life-threatening for the mother.

These substances are not allowed for use for elective abortions without supervision by a doctor. As a matter of fact, there are no substances at all that are approved for elective abortions without supervision by a doctor. Any substance that is given when having an abortion is actually an additional medicine to the abortion procedure of removing the fetus.

The usual date for a vacuum-aspiration type of abortion is up to the twelfth gestational week (twelve weeks after conceiving). From the 15th until approximately the 26th week, dilation and evacuation is used.

Your girlfriend is advised to visit a gynecologist to get information about her available options for an abortion and the legal regulations in your country.
