Hi all
Basically Im looking for advice on what would be the best option for me.
I have a facial deformity which is due to excess skin on my face, this means i have wrinkles on my forehead and under my eyes, I also have a very long neck. I have throughout my life been abused, laughed at and mocked by people in the street, comments such as "what" (dont know if swearing is allowed on forums) and last night I got "he looks like an alien". Well basically it seems harder and harder for me to cope with the way I look now. I went clubbing last night and ended up sat in the toilet hiding from people for an hour .. when I should of been enjoying my friends birthday.
My question I suppose would be.. have any of you found successful mood enhancers or do you think cosmetic surgery would be more beneficial. I know the size of my neck can never be changed and this will always upset me, its something I cant hide and will always get abused in the street for.

I too would get cosmetic surgery if you feel it will make you feel beter. I broke my teeth as a kid and got something done to them which lasted me 10 or so yrs. Then they broke and I had fillings done and they always looked aweful and yellow (and they were my front teeth) Recently I got some veneers and they've never looked better. Honestly if you're that worried about your looks and you know you can enhance them and that it's going to make you feel better than go for it.

facial disfigurement
hiya i dont think you should get cosmetic surgury, i dont personally have a disfigurement but i know someone that does, and it upsets me, when people treat her diffrently, but she dosn't seem to mind as she knows that shes got friends and family there for her,and people are just curious,
im studying photography at university and im currently doing a project about facial disfigurement, i want to capture the beauty from within, i would appreciate it very much if you got in touch with me and if we could have a quick chat, thanks very much,
