Q: Eyes roll back

I'm a male, 50, 5'10", 165 lbs, and in otherwise good shape.
For several decades, family members have mentioned that when I'm asked a question, my eyeballs sometimes roll back in my head while I'm pondering a response to a question. It only happens then...just once in a while just before I respond to a question.

I can not intentionally roll my eyes back. I only do it when asked a non-important question in a laid-back environment....questions like "Where did you eat last night?", "When did I go shopping last?" But if I'm asked a serious question, or a question at work, it never happens. I don't realize I roll my eyes back until someone points it out...and I only do it for a second or so. I've never had a medical or eye problem that I'm aware of.

Thanks i advance for any comments.

If I were you sir I would see a neurologist. I dont think this is a big deal or anything, see when humans are asked questions that draw upon a memory to get the answer. Such as when did you go shoppin last? We move our eyes back and right to picture images that help us remember what we need to about the topic before we recite it orally. Shouldnt be a problem but if it really concerns you see a nuerologist that perhaps has familiarity with opthomology
