Q: Eye reflections

My friend recently posted a picture on facebook making light of the fact that one of his eyes reflected green and the other one red.. Alarm bells rang as I recalled a story about the same thing happening to a child, eventually the parents took the child to their GP and it turned out the child had a brain tumor... I don't want to alarm my friend if there's nothing wrong! I was hoping that someone might have some information that could be helpfull?

Thanks for you time

Ted

The one in which you referenced about the child...that reflection was white.

It could be the shape of his eyes are different therefore the reflection would not be the same?

He could always visit the eye doctor for a better explanation.

Did this happen in one picture or are they consistent?

Thanks zigemyster,

Roughly 4 out of 20 photo's with reflective eyes show one extremely light green reflection - it's not white, there's definitely a hint of green but it's only a hint - I suppose it's better to be safe than sorry though - I'll let him know he should probably get it checked out.

Any other information will be gratefully received!
