From the age of 18, I am suffering from
eye pain. I get irritated to light and
noise. If I sleep well without any
disturbances, i get relieved from it. When
I consulted an eye doctor, I was asked to
wear glass for the power of -0.5. I am
wearing it. Till then I got eye pain
often. Now for the past 2 years, I am
getting headache along with eye pain.
Either of them come first, followed by the
other in 30 minutes. Only after taking
Paracetamol, I get the relief. When I am
exposed to sunlight for more than 30
minutes, When I take hair bath, when i
watch TV for more than 1 hour, when i have
severe cold.. at all these times I easily
catch up eye pain and headache. I need to
know what is actually happening to my eyes
and its nerves. I get pain in forehead
sometimes and in temples sometimes. Else
it is one side pain in head. Eye pain
happens to one eye or both. I have
bronchial asthma from childhood.please
help me to sort this out.
Eye pain combined with headache could be
due to an eye disorder. Refractory
anomalies (myopia or hypermetropia) can
cause eye pain and headache. You can check
your vision again. You can also check to
see if your intra-ocular pressure has
increased (glaucoma).
Glaucoma is usually manifested with
eye-pain and headache. If your eyes are
okay you might have a migraine or a
tension headache.
You can consult an ophthalmologist first
and then a neurologist, if necessary.
