So.... I am a 20 year old female I have a bit of an issue recently....

For about a year now I have noticed that whenever my eyes are exposed to bright light, I get this blurry thing can I can see in both eyes... It is in the center of my vision and it is o annoying!!! I noticed it first when I was skiing and looking down at the bright snow... Sometimes when I wear glasses it is less, but I really want to know if this is a brain issue or something to do with my eyes.. I have seen an eye doctor and they say it must just be floaters, but I know this is not because when I close one eye I can still see the blurry, moving sensation....
Can anyone help??? Has anyone else experienced this? Could it be chronic migraines? I don't get headaches too frequently... every once in a while when I am stressed or if I am dehydrated... Please help!!!

Hey! I suffer from something similar to what your describing. I've been to the optometrist and neurologist for this but you may be experiencing something called an Ocular Migraine. I've posted two links below for more info. Hope it helps! Smile

Hi, just wanted to apologize on behalf of the ehealthforum...apparently they aren't okay with us linking websites. I had posted 2 links, one from mayo clinic and another from all about vision. They're good websites in my opinion! Hope all is well!

I just recently started having a problem similar to this. Once after consuming a beer, and the second, which is still occuring, after drinking a cup of coffee. What happens is suddenly I will notice a certain distortion in my primary vision (there is another word for it that I cannot recall at the moment) and it will be difficult to see through this distortion. The distortion itself appears (when I close my eyes) as a crescent shaped pattern of alternating, rigid, and oscillating forms that appear both black and white and red, blue, and possibly green. The crescent will obscure my primary vision for about 10 minutes and then begin to migrate outward to the left until it has completely moved out of my peripheral vision. I'm not sure if any of us are suffering from the same affliction but if either of you happen to discover what it is that is ailing you please post it.
