My leg muscles feel like I've ran 5 miles non stop and I can't stand very long because they start to hurt. My fingers and toes have starting to tingle also. I started on BP meds two months ago. I take Lisinopril 20. I have high BP but never had these problems until I started the meds. Do you think I could maybe try 10mgs? Or is this something I'll have to live with?

OMG I have the same issues. I started taking HBP meds about 2 months ago. I first took Lisinopril 10mg but wasnt doing a good job at controlling BP. Was prescribed 20mg & had issue will swelling. Was switched to Micardis HCT 40mg/12.5mg about three weeks ago. Within days every muscle in my body was sore and my hands began to go numb off & on. Good news is BP is down. Doc thinks it was the dieretic in the med (hydrochlorothiazide) & has me on just the 40mg telmisartan. Its only been two days & so far no change. I hope this works or Im going to quit taking HBP meds

I have been having the same symptoms on Lisinopril. I changed pharmacies about a month ago and received a different lisinopril (different manufacturer) coincidently enough, I have been having numbness and tingling in my hands, muscle spasms in my back and left upper arm, joint pain, swelling in my hands and recent weight gain, I'm slightly hyperthyroid, shouldn't have the weight gain, if anything, should be losing weight. I did some research myself since my doctor can't figure it out. I called my doctor and told him of the side effects I found online, he wasn't aware of these side effects! I'm a registered nurse and I don't like coincidences. I had to do the research on my own. I am not going to take this crappy med! OMG!
