I had a sexual accident and went to get the Plan B pills. I took the first one at 830 last night. I followed the instructions with 12 hours later. Last night i had light spotting with no cramping. Today within 2 hours of taking the second dose, i had pretty bad cramps in my lower abdomen and i was bleeding. It bled & cramped on and off all day. Around 5pm tonight i realized i was having centralized pain on the left side inside my hip bones. Im wondering if im experiencing an ectopic pregnancy or just the normal side effects of the pills. PLEASE help!

(i have a heating pad on my pelvic region to ease the pain some)

how long after the sex did you take the pills???,they only work if you took them within 72 hours,i wouldnt think this is an ectopic it maybe that your egg was fertilised and that it was still traveling down the tube when you took the pills, however dont rule out ectopic on my say so as it is still possible that it is one and its a life threatening condition if left untreated,is the pain unbearable???.ive taken the morning after pill twice in my life the first time i had bleeding and pain and the second time i had light bleeding no pain,if the pain is unbearable or on going for days then seek medical advice and if your worried and want help now go to a familly planning center for help good luck hope you'll be fine Smile

Sounds like pretty normal side effects to me.

Ectopic pregnancies aren't as instantaneous as that. You'd go on as a normal pregnancy (you'd get positive pregnancy results with all normal pregnancy symptoms) and then you'll have problems.

If you just took plan B within 72 hours ago and you took it on time, then this is not an ectopic pregnancy.
