Some one close to me was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease a number of years ago and has been taking medication for the last 5/6 years. they are now on the strongest medication though I am not sure what it is called exactly. Things have been fine and they were able to live a relatively normal live up until recently. about a month or two ago they began to develop suspicions about close family members that seemed a little far fetched and progressively became more and more suspicious until what seemed liked the space of a few weeks the paranoia resulted in fearing for their life and hearing voices and thinking that just about everything in their environment is directly related to their situation. Basically tormented by what seems comparable to a living nightmare that comes in waves we are to speak to a neurologist and review the meds but am worried that the progression will not slow and want to know what should be done to bring them back to reality and enable them to feel safe and trust their family again.?

Hallucinations
My father has had Parkinsons diseas for over 15v years now. He has good days and bad days. Sometimes he has auditory hallucinations that there are people in the room when there are none. Sometimes he does appear overly paranoid about things. He is naturalyy paranoid but I think the drugs he takes maybe enhance his natural paranoia. He isnt always like that though. Most of the time he is fine. Dad just comes right most of the time. Once, he went completly nuts and paranoid and almost violent and we found it was the medication balance. He had been trialling a new drug. He currently takes sinimet and amantidine.
