only use clitoral stimulation to achieve orgasm and then afterwards, have extreme pain, like contractions that last about 5 minutes. Its worse now that I've had my second laproscopy for endometriosis, now its not only pain that makes you double over as you are trying to get to the bathroom to get painkillers, its the 5 minutes of contraction pain, then my lower abdomen hurts for 30 to 45 min. I NEED an answer. I have never been able to reach orgasm but used to have g-spot orgasms(where I got really wet). Since the operation(I'm single) and when I masturbate, I don't get g-spot orgasms, I don't get very wet, but still some wetness, I wonder if they screwed up something in my laproscopy?? I want answers and no doctor takes me seriously. They just say, "That's wierd". I want a sex life. IT IS SERIOUS TO ME. Doesn't ANY gynecologist have an answer???? Please help. I am 34 and my first diagnosis/lap. was 4years ago.

I really don't understand why no one has an answer. I have dealt with similar issues and every doctor I went to acted non challant,.confused,.or quickly wrote it off with a prescription to ibuprofen. I see a huge problem with our nations state of mind and our overall perspective towards health care when our own doctors take little care to the importance of a females sex life.

btw: If you haven't tried physical therapy, thats worked the best for me. I completely walked away from western medicine for awhile after their final answer for me was surgery. I changed my diet,.found a massage therapist/healer and worked with acupressure. There are great pressure points to relieve female pain.

contractions after orgasm
I too suffer from severe cramping after orgasm. I've had 3 kids and to me it feels like labor pains. Sometimes I even get back cramping along with the abdominal cramps. I asked my Gyn. about it and she basically said to take advil before having sex. Then, a year ago I stopped drinking anything with caffiene in it and the cramps stopped. Coincidence or what I'm not sure, but cutting back on caffiene definitely helped me.

i too have also been extremely scared of these pains. i haven never experiance them after having sex, only when i orgasm in my sleep, (wet dream). i dont know if this is a natural cause of my stomach muscles being very relaxed whilst sleeping and then contracting intensly, or if it is something much worse. could this be a sign of the dreaded C word, or an ifection or something that is natural. i am 24 years old and have been sexualt active for 9 years, i have never been orded a smear test as the age keeps increasing. i strongly disagree with the age restriction that is in place! especially afer a certain celebrity early tragic death. is this occurance of pain after orgasm, even with no vaginal intrusion ok? or is is somethig horrific! cafine intake asside?

I have had these for years! I’m 23 and they started at about 19 at first just sporadically then slowly more and more now it’s a sure thing; 100% of the orgasms I have are this. I have had a D and c a laparoscopy but nothing has been found. none of my doctors take this seriously and i think this is probably way more common than is reported.
Doctors need to take the subject of women’s sexual heath more seriously. If this as happening to men you can bet there would be a pill by now.

I am 24 years old and have been experiencing the same thing, also occurring following strenuous exercise. My doctor said that it may be pelvic hernias (less common in women, but possible). If the abdominal wall lining the female reproductive organs does not develop properly, the ovaries or other parts can sometimes bulge out through the muscle wall. This would cause pain when oxygen and/or blood flow are changed dramatically, as in when you have an orgasm or exercise. It's worth mentioning to your doc, I have another appointment soon with a specialist. Hope this helps.

I am so glad I am not alone.

I have had these pains since I fell pregnant 17 years ago. I never have the pains after sex. I only get the pains after clitoral masturbation. I feel labour pains and cramping in my back. The pain only subsides after I go to the toilet and have a pooh which 100 % of the time always happens. Then the pain suddenly stops.

This is the EXACT same thing that happens to me every time!! I have a bad history of severe endometriosis which was treated in 2005 - since then, I've been diagnosed with Adenomyosis and severe pelvic adhesions due to the way my body healed after my surgery. Currently, most of my pelvic organs are stuck together with all of the adhesions (scar tissue) which is tearing and re-healing day to day with every movement I make. I'm on a lot of Oxycodone topped with oxycontin for breakthrough pain. I'm also on 150mg of amitriptyline, depo-provera every 8 weeks and 30mg of Norethisterone to stop my periods due to the extent that my endo got when I was regular.
Since all of this happens, no matter how drugged up I am, clitoral orgasms ruin me for a good few hours and soon after, my body is ready for a bowel movement (which is usually quite loose at this time like it's desperate to get out!) - sorry for the visuals but I've struggled with all of this for nearly 8 years and this is the first time I've found someone who suffers the same pain after climax!

Also - I can't even have intercourse due to pain, I bleed pretty much straight away from anything internal including even a simple internal examination Sad

I am 35 years old. I've been experiencing this type of pain for about 2 years. It doesn't always happen after orgasm, but on occasion it does. The pain feels like contractions coming on shortly after orgasm in both my stomach and in the area of my lower back/butt. The pain is so severe that I feel like I'm going to throw up. It happens both with masturbation and when I have intercourse with my husband. The pains last about 5 minutes and then they slowly go away. After the 'contractions', my stomach hurts for at least a half hour after. I've mentioned this to my gynecologist who said that it is contractions that I am feeling and just try to ease into the orgasm when I feel it coming on. He said that it was normal. I disagree. I can feel something is wrong!

Pain after and orgasm
I have never been pregnant, I am 22 years old transgendered male (female to male), experiences these major pains. I get these pains right after my orgasm and they don't go away for hours. It just keeps getting worse and worse, to the point where I don't even want to have sex anymore. Yes i still have the female organs but i have been taking testosterone for 3 years and im not sure if that is messing things up for me now.

Hey man, I'm in the exact same situation. I went to my doctor and we found that I have issues with my bladder. The muscles surrounding the bladder also surround our girl bits, and mine are very tight and tense...hence pain after orgasm.
I have gone to physical therapy to loosen the muscles and that worked for awhile. The pain now comes and goes.
I hope that you've found an answer by now, if not, talk to your doctor...it might be bladder issues. Just a thought.

ftm guy here too. I know I've done some damage to my bladder, thanks to not being able to access bathrooms and holding my pee for hours and hours. I have this same problem with cramping/contractions.. wonder if the bladder thing is common among trans guys!

Intense pain after orgasm!
I have the same issue! It just happened last night for the second time, and the pain was SO INTENSE, probably among the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life. Last time it made me vomit, this time it just made me nauseous and sweaty, like I was going to faint. I'm 33, never been preggers, and the only problem I've had with my girly parts is that I had a copper IUD for about a year and a half but had to have it taken out because it caused me so much pain. Hope I didn't damage my uterus with the IUD. Otherwise, I've always gotten a clean bill of health. I'm seeing my doc in a few weeks, but based on what I've read, she'll be as perplexed as I am. Sounds like something that a significant number of people have experienced, I'm surprised that there's no real diagnosis or even recognition of it as a disorder. Hope this doesn't get worse!

Extreme period pain after orgasm
I have this same problem. I am 30 with no children. For about the last couple of years I have had the same pain after orgasm, but only in the week leading up to my period. It feels like extreme period pain. I have avoided orgasms at this time so it hasn't been much of an issue for me.....Until last night. My period is due this week and I had an orgasm in my sleep and was woken by intense pain. I have never had pain like this before. It was so bad it caused me to vomit repeatedly. I did not have the urge to poo as some others have said. When I had vomited the pain went away pretty much instantly. When Im not on the pill my period is not regular, it comes every 6 to 8 weeks and Ive never had any medical problems in that area before. My husband and I are trying for a baby so I hope this is not any problem that will affect falling pregnant. Just thought I would share my experience and if there are more similiar.

I'm glad I'm not alone... I've been having lower abdominal pain when I have an orgasm in wet dreams. I am 28 and this is new for me. I wonder if it's because I had a cryo done about two weeks ago.

Severe pain after an orgasm
I too have intense pain after an orgasm. This has been going on for a few years and I've blown it off. This is why I have never mentioned it to my doctor because I'm sure he (and sounds like the rest of the medical world) have no idea what is causing it. The pains seem to be getting more intense and this is getting to the point where I rarely even want to have an orgasm. Interestingly enough, after reading others comments, I have had a cyro and laporoscopic surgery in the past. I also am fairly certain I have endrometriosis as well, as I have always have, horrible and heaving irregular periods. Just want ya'll to know you are definitely NOT alone with this problem. The closest I have come to any recognition of this problem is people who have pain DURING sex, but this is not what we are all talking about.

Frustrated beyond belief!

Thanks for sharing everyone. It's a bit of a relief to hear others have experienced similar situation. I personally have been having this pain off and on for the last 8 months. I will wake up from mid sleep thinking I am having an orgasm but it turns into the most hellish cramps, that as others have mentioned stay intense for about 5-10 minutes and then the throbbing lingers for up to 2-3 hours. I used to have such bad menstrual cramps that I would end up lying naked on the cold bathroom floor, sick to my stomach. I am currently 30 years old and I have stopped my period (with Dr's recommendation due to endometrial pain) but now am having these awful cramping post orgasm. I also sometimes feel slight relief after urinating or bowel movement. It's so frustrating and it makes me not want to fall asleep!

hmmm, very interesting dedrgirl. I'm experiencing exactly the same pain as everyone here but what caught my attn about urs is I too recently stopped having my period bcuz I switched from regular birth control pills to the mini pill (which is almost the as reg bc pills but lacks the estrogen) I took reg bc's w no prob for 18 yrs then this yr my blood pressure read high for the 1st time so the doc said to avoid strokes and heart attacks I had to avoid estrogen. Im 33 yrs old n I've been on the mini pill for 4 mons now and experienced my 1st labor- like cramping about 1 week ago. So I wonder if lack of menstrual cycle could be linked at all. I know I have no std's, no children, not preg but I could have been developing the beginning stages of the yeast infection i just took med for 2 nts ago. Just throwing some thots out there. I personally think that switching BC pills changed the structure/environment within my uterus &/or cervix enough to have this terribly painful experience starting at the end of my clitoral orgasm but who knows...?

Me too
Interesting stuff. I have the cramping pain after orgasms also and have for about 3 years now (i am 2Cool. My Dr only said that it could be that my orgasms are very intense and that is what causes the contraction like cramps... Mine are not too bad yet and do not seem to be getting worse so i am still hoping they will go away... i will try the no caffeine and see if that helps!
