Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
The exact cause for the prolonged and altered bleeding can be made out by going ahead with thorough evaluation and further investigations. Causes like endometritis, endometriosis, hormonal imbalances, thyroid abnormalities, anemia, bleeding disorder, vitamin deficiencies, endometrial hyperplasia, etc should be looked for. Visit your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for further evaluation and assistance. Treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you control the symptoms and regulate your periods. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
