I'm schedule to have extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy done for several small kidney stones. I'm so confuse because I received a call from the doctors office to schedule the date. I ask the person that was scheduling me about how long is the procedure and she told me that it will take about 5 hours and I'm going to be given general anesthesia. I was shock, I thought that this procedure was done with sedatives and it will take about an hour. Could someone out there that had this procedure done get back to me. I'm so worry...Thanks
