Hi everyone. Looking for some help, my wife had been having a very hard time walking sitting etc b/c of a external hemorrhoid the pain finally got so severe I took her to the ER. While there she was given a local, and had a small (easy for me to say) cut into the area to help remove the puss. It looked to be the most painful thing you could have done. After the procedure the doctor said it was an abcess hemorrhoid and in a couple weeks would need to be removed by a surgeon. It is almost two weeks, still oozing puss, she is still in pain, not near as much. My problem is I can not find anything about a abcess hemorrhoid online, the posts on surgery are horrible with most saying they would never have done it if they knew what they know now. Should this still be oozing after two weeks? Where can I find more help? I am a car painter by trade, not alot of school and am concerned about helping her make the right decisions.

Get her to a doctor...This could infect and go deep into her bowels...This must be taken care of...She should see a specialist..

Until you get her there, have her soak in a hot tub...Maybe two or three times a day..Have her pull her cheeks apart so that the water gets in to touch the wound....It may help and possibly could cure it...She should be on anti-biotics...Call the doctor to get some of these...

Good luck,
Caroline
