Hi,

I am 33 years old and was diagnosed with intestinal metaplasia in the gastrum antrum. I had my first endoscopy in 05/2010 and i had another one in 05/2011 and it has not changed, still intestinal metaplasia. my doctor recommended that I take Nexium for 3 months. But I didn't take them. If I take them for 3 months or even at 6 months do you think intestinal metaplasia will be reversed? What is the advantage of taking this?

Curious,
Ann

How are you Ann? Did you find out anything? I have heard you should not take Nexium longer than two weeks. I have avoided it since my doctor prescribed in May 2011.
