Urinary tract infection might last for long period if not treated. This is more evident in women in which the anatomy of the urinary and genital tract is more susceptible to infections.
The symptoms of the urinary tract might last until treated and the infection might even spread to other organs thus increasing the possibility of more serious inflammations of the kidneys, the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries.
