Embarassed Hi, this is my first time posting on this forum, but I thought I'd give it a try to get some good advice.

I'm seventeen. I've recently moved to a new state, before I've found my self having severe headaches that kept me from going to school, or doing anything, but lay in the dark. After suspecting that it wasn't just a normal headache due to sensitivity to light, and sound, to the point where it would make me vomit, I assumed they were migraines.
About a month ago I had an episode that lasted for a week, eventually I went into the emergency room, and after 9 hours of waiting, told the doctor that I thought I had a migraine, and he asked me if I was neurologist, told me it was tension headache and sent me home.

Hmpfft.

I was migraine free for about a month up until a few days ago when my boyfriend and I went out for dinner, as we were leaving the house I felt funny, a feeling I can't describe other than I could feel a migraine coming on. We went on to dinner, and by the time we were leaving I felt severe pain behind my right eye, and ear, along my jaw, and the back of my neck, and head, and even what felt like my throat, (Lymph nodes). Only on my right side.

Later that night we stopped at the store, and I picked up some medication for sinus pressure, as it seemed my best bet, and took some of the medication, and waited in a book store for it to take effect, and two hours into sitting, the pain became too much to bare, I went out into the dark parking lot, and layed in my car waiting for my boyfriend to finish looking at books, then we drove home, and the passing cars headlights caused me to throw up several times before we made it home.

I had horrible trouble falling asleep that night, and when I woke up, the worst of the headache was gone, but I could still feel my throat hurting, behind my ear, and what I would describe as stiffness in my neck, and jaw.
It's been about three days now, and I still have the same problem, and hearing in my right ear is giving me problems, everything sounds like I'm underwater.

Being in a new state without my parents, Not having health insurance (Long story), and not knowing how to get help in general, is more than a small problem, so I thought Id seek some advice.

Thank you.

hey this doesn't sound like a normal migraine, it sounds more severe and i cant believe the doc said that to you and sent you home how rude! anyways i think you should go see your parents and tell them what been happening and see if they can get you help with it because you can't live your life like this it is stopping you from doing everyday things, I'd do it sooner rather than later hope this helps Jenny
