Q: Exercising at home

I've always been really good at losing weight in the past. That was because it was during college and I had free access to a gym. Combined with a healthy diet, working out was my way to lose weight. Now I have graduted college and have a full-time job. I can't afford a gym membership. In addition to counting calories and eating healthier, what are some ways I can exercise at home? I've thought about doing jumping jacks or running up and down the steps. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
