I am wondering how dangerous it is to exercise while having Mono. I was diagnosed with Mono 1 week ago. I have physical therapy exercises I need to do to keep my back and legs and abs strong after my spine surgery. I use an exercise ball, exercise bands, weight lifting, walking, swimming, exercise bike. When I asked my doctor she said I could keep exercising but just not to push myself. Is it dangerous to keep exercising as long as I am not pushing myself too hard? Will it delay my recovery or could my spleen burst or tear or my liver if I keep exercising?

My only symptoms right now are my lymph nodes in my throat are swollen but they do not hurt. Other then that I don't feel sick. I did have mono as a kid so maybe this is why my symptoms are not really bad.
