You can mostly likely start walking within 12 to 24 hours after angioplasty, and you may resume exercise and driving after several days.
Usually, the concrete exercise program within rehabilitation period is suggested for every patient individually.
This period is often after 4 to 8 weeks following the heart intervention.
But in general, patients should start with 5 to 10 minutes of walking or stationary bicycling, gradually building up the duration to as much as 45 to 60 minutes at least four or five days per week.

My brother had angioplasty. I can understand now about needing to wait before exercising. Thank you for your explanation.
