Q: Excessive masturbation and seizures
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 26th, 2008
I do excessive masturbation, some time, six times a day.
I masturbate continuously, by withholding the ejaculation, even when I reach orgasm, it lasts for 2 to 4 hours.
After 4 hours, I use to ejaculate. I use to prevent the ejaculation as much as possible, when reach orgasm.

Once when I did the same. exactly after around 12 hours of my act. I had a generalized seizure attack for the first time in my life.
I have no family history of seizure.

Next time when I masturbated continuously for 2 to 3 hours, in the same manner as mentioned above, I had another seizure attack, exactly after around 12 hours my masturbation act.
Now I am under medication. Now after medication, I tried the same masturbation act. but I did not have seizure attack.

Please clarify following doubts

1. Will WITHHOLDING EJACULATION during masturbation or sex, cause SEIZURE ?
2. If I ejaculate, when I reach orgasm, during masturbation or sex, will help me to prevent from SEIZURE attack ? and lead a normal life ?

Most doctors and researchers agree that seizure is not related to excessive masturbation or withholding ejaculation.
However, there is a possibility that the prolonged feeling of sexual excitement can cause tachycardia, hypertension, that can further cause irregularities in the blood flow and the blood supply to all organs, including the brain. The decreased blood supply in the brain is one of the possible causes of seizures.

The 12 hours time gap between the excessive masturbation and the seizure attacks might indicate that they are not connected.
