Q: Excessive discharge in vaginal area

Outside of my vaginal opening (Labia majora, Labia minora and Clitoris) i am having this constant Itchiness. It is redder than usual and i'm getting a sore. Im also having more discharge than usual and it's thinker and whiter and im still off a week or more from my expected period. I've had this once before almost 2 years ago from now, where i got tested but never heard back from, it went away within 1 week or 2. Its just come back and i'm kinda nervous since this is the second time in 2 years. I have not had intercourse yet. what could this be?

hello and don,t worry you symptoms tell me you have thrush which is a yeast infection that i suffered just before my period was due.
one myth says using plain yoghurt helps but there are many over the counter creams and combi pessaries you can buy.
if it persists see your doctor. if you have recently has a course of antibiotics this can cause thrush too. its nothing you have done wrong sweetheart hope this helps you. wear cotton underwear also helps as if you wear thongs they can irritate it.
