If the breast mole has changed its appearance (size, color, oozing) or sensations (itch, pain) or if it belongs to the group of dysplastic mole, the excision should be considered.
Having a mole for all of your life without changes doesn't pose risk for melanoma (melanoma can appear in already existing mole or in a new developed one).
Melanoma in situ, is usually cured with excision, but the inadequate excision, the affected site, are factors that put someone to greater chances for local recurrence of melanoma in situ.
To avoid this possibility, have regular check ups at your dermatologist's office (two times a year).
It is very important to be highly protected from the sun exposure.
Best wishes!
