I had the essure procedure on February 17th in my Doctor's office. I was told I would have clotting and spotting for about 3 weeks. It is going on 5 weeks and I have large clotting larger than the size of a quarter on a regular basis during the course of a day. In the early morning hours are when the largest clots arise, then continual bleeding throught the day. When are my periods suppose to return back to normal? This is also along with heavy cramping. I have made a appointment to see my doctors who seems to think there is nothing wrong. But I a very tired by the time I get home from work and have no desire to work out just to go to sleep.
Welcome to ehealthforum,
If the bleeding has been heavy, along with persistence of clots, it is not normal, and should not be ignored. Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for further evaluation (or follow-up check) to look for the underlying cause. Get started on treatment as indicated by examination findings and investigation results to help you control the bleeding and regulate periods. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
