Q: Erections and ejaculation
asked by: DoctorQuestion on November 13th, 2008
I am currently having erections with no semen or ejaculation whatsoever. My testoterone level was low so my doctor put me on Testim. Since taking it my levels are in the hormal range of 600-813. I still have the same problem so my doctor ordered more specialized test and all levels are normal. I now have an appointment with an endrocronologist. What could be the cause of this and what are possible solutions? I still have sexual desires, but can't achieve orgasm even though I can get an erection.

Erection and ejaculation are independent events. Ejaculation can happen even without an erection. Erection is not a guarantee that ejaculation will happen. Low testosterone levels (hypogonadism) probably caused impotency. The main problem is to find out what caused low testosterone levels. The problem is probably located somewhere in the axis hypothalamus-pituitary-testicles.
