Q: erection during a physical

my doctor asked me to give myself an erection during my last physical and he proceeded to feel the base as well as tip of my penis. this was the first time i had been asked to do that. it didn't bother me, but it was a surprise.

what is he looking for in this situation?

I'm asuming that you are a teenager. You need to tell your parents about this as soon as possible. There is no legitimate reason for a doctor to ask a guy to give himself an erection.
