Q: Erectile dysfunction
asked by: DoctorQuestion on June 12th, 2008
The problem is i haven't had the urge to masturbate for two to three months and have been having problems getting erections when i try to do so. Sometimes, i get a fairly hard erection but it does not compare to what i used to get.Sometimes i can't get an erection at all and just stop. I used to masturbate three or four times a week without a problem. It seems like my sex drive is almost nonexistent. it seems like i used to be hornier and i kind of miss that. Heres a few things that I think may contribute to my problem. I used tobacco products on a regular basis since last september.I have just recently quit my habit. I smoked marijuana about two or three times a week before this started happening. Around the same tim i had an morning glory (LSA) trip. I also had / have what i believe is epidytimitis. My left nut was swollen around the time it started and i went in when it started hurting just a few weeks ago.My question is what if anything could help my problem and what caused it?

It is a paradox when you say that you hadn’t had the urge to masturbate but still tried to get erections. Both things mean the same.

I don’t think that your sexual drive (urge) is disturbed because if it was you wouldn’t ask this question.

As long as you are interested in achieving erections that means that your sexual desire is present.
You may have an erectile dysfunction. At your age psychogenic erectile dysfunction is the most common one but marijuana, tobacco products, LSA and alcohol can contribute very much to your erectile dysfunction. An epididymis infection (if present) can also disturb the erection.

You should stop all those bad habits. You may want to consult your primary health provider (or urologist, if necessary) to check if you really have an infection of the epididymis.
