I have been getting episodes of severe upper abdominal pain. I just had a hida scan performed which showed my ejection fraction to be 26%. I also had an upper GI done that showed my stomach refluxes. Are these related? Will my doctor recommend getting my gall bladder removed?

Welcome to the forum. I am really glad to help you out.

The HIDA scan does show a decreased secretion from the gall bladder. As you have mentioned that you have pain in the abdomen, this means you have symptomatic gall bladder disease.

In such a scenario, the usual recommended treatment is a surgical removal of the gall bladder. I’ll suggest consulting a surgeon for the same. I sincerely hope this helps. Take care.
