I am a 33 year old female and have had episcleritis for last 10 years. My eyes turn red and painful 1 to 2 times a month and it lasts for 2-3 days. Some episodes are so awful and terrible pain will wake me up. I am on many eye drops steroids and drops for pain.
I have been to many, many doctors and eye doctors and the medical doctors. I have been tested for everything (STDS, Gout, Cancer markers, RA) but nothing. I can't handle pain and it interrupts my every day to day activities. I am looking for help from anyone who has luck with getting rid of this most frustrating disease. Thank you.

Extremely eHealthy
Your case of episcleritis, probably has progressed to scleritis (pain is usually associated with scleritis, not episcleritis)
In worse cases, a chemotherapy and surgery are taken in consideration.
