I have had fibroid cysts in my uterus before. It was a couple of years ago. However, I started a period on the weekend, in which I have not had a period since some time last year. I am 54. So a period is not out of the question. But we were on a car ride for a few hours on Monday and my back on the right side was really bothering me and uncomfortable. I also had nausea and didn't feel good. I called the doctor the next day, yesterday, and he said I have an enlarged uterus. I am having bloodwork for hormone level testing today and a pelvic ultrasound tomorrow. Doctor says he thinks it to be probably fibroid but won't really know till I have the ultrasound. He says they have to look at the size and hormone levels and such. He wanted to assure me that it is probably just fibroid but won't really know till they get a closer look. I am scared. Please help.
