Q: Enlarged Spleen during pregnancy

My daughter is having her first baby in another 7 weeks. She just went to her ob/Gyn this morning and was told she had an enlarged spleen. Further tests are forthcoming. I would like to know why her spleen has enlarged. She had an ectopic pregnancy last year and lost one of her Fallopian tubes as a result. What might be causing the enlargement of her spleen now?
