I was diagnosed 8 days ago with Chlamydia. While I was at my doctors, I complained to him about back problems. He told me it was not connected, and I must have pulled a muscle or something, before shrugging it off. Yesterday I finished my pills and today I went to a specialist for a different reason, who told me that my prostate was enlarged.

I am worried that this is all leading back to issues from Chlamydia... I had just finished up a weeks worth of doxycycline. Is it normal to have an enlarged prostate after Chlamydia? Should my prostate have gone back to normal already or will it take a while? My other symptoms are gone but I still have some lower back pain and obviously my enlarged prostate which was checked today.

I'm only 23, and quite scared...it seems nobody else has the same issues after dealing with Chlamydia, but every once in a while I find horror stories online about people with the same issues as me - where Chlamydia has created chronic prostatitis.

Is there a connection?
