Enlarged Kindey

Hi, my father has recently visited the doctor due to very noticeable blood in his urine. He was prescribed anti biotics to treat an infection however this did not clear up. He has had an ultrasound that has shown an enlarged kidney. He is now awaiting a ct scan. He is not in any pain apart from his testicles???? He has stopped bleeding but only for the past couple of days.
Please advise me of what this could be as waiting for the CT scan is killing me.
